LARP set out to create a weekly fantasy crypto game that combined the thrill of market prediction with the humor of meme culture. Players pay an entry fee to compete in forecasting cryptocurrency trends, with both the top performers and the last-place “LARP” earning cash prizes. To capture the game’s playful spirit while supporting its core market research features, LARP needed a brand identity, user interface, and web presence that felt bold, approachable, and fun. As a collaborator with Runtime, I developed the logo, contributed to the branding, designed the app’s UI, and built the marketing site in Webflow.
The Outcome
The final brand identity is colorful, energetic, and unmistakably playful, setting LARP apart from traditional, serious-toned crypto platforms. I designed a rounded block-style wordmark logo that can flex between rectangular and square formats, pairing perfectly with a vibrant, in-your-face visual system. The UI balanced this bold branding with thoughtful market functionality, while the Webflow site introduced the experience to players in a way that matched the app’s fun, meme-heavy aesthetic.
